Hackathon at Stanford University

Hackathon at Stanford University

I’ve been guest lecturing at Stanford this Fall for Christina Wodtke in her CS 177: Human-Centered Product Management course. Last week, she, Albert Collell and I led a hackathon for the 80 students.

The power to create so much so quickly impressed the students and continually impresses me. These tools aren’t perfect but they have a growing role in how we manifest and test ideas.

I wore one of my vintage startup Hawaiian shirts (promo swag from the now defunct iReturn.com) to emphasize the “vibe/chill” aspect of this style of creation.

And I brought one of my boogie boards. I still get out to Ocean Beach and ride the waves on a monthly basis. Whereas surfing takes skill and persistence, boogie boarding is much easier.

So grab your metaphorical boogie board and start vibe prototyping!

Reach out to me and bring this kind of hands-on workshop to your teams.

I’ve got a connection with one of the top vibe prototyping companies and am able to secure enough account credits to give your teams the time it takes to get to an “aha moment”.
